Synat

Keeping up the day job!

Synat - a brief history?

Synat was formed by Ayden (vocals) and Fee (lead guitar) in summer 2004 with no name. They were then joined by Jamie (rhythm guitar), playing in a garage in Hucknall with a single 30W amp, and occassionally migrating to a shed in Sherwood and scaring the local foxes. They were joined by Paul (bass), decided on the name 'Million Shades of Grey', and played their first performance (one song in a talent show), in that same year, but then lost Paul as he left to join another band, Retrograde.

The band picked up new equipment, and through 2005 they began songwriting and tried many bassists, the main addition being Dolan (who now plays with The Disconnections). They moved to a hall in Hucknall for practices, and were introduced to Scott (drums). The band eventually moved out of the supposedly haunted hall to return to anywhere they could, including completing their first recording of 'Over You' in Scott's kitchen. In mid-2006, Dolan left the band, and the band remained quite until that September, when by chance they met Zak, and he quickly joined as their current (and hopefully last) bassist. The band then found a real rehersal space at the Robin Hood & Little John pub (it's a skittle alley), and began to play shows in the local area.

Synat got the chance to do some recording at NCN Clarendon, and despite time restraints, unfamiliar equipment and the lack of Jamie being able to attend, they managed to record Exit Wound (411) and 17.50. Currently, the band is working on new songs and getting their live act out there to fans, hoping their blend of sounds and styles will get them out there. They have a mini-release available whilst they work on completing an album's worth of songs, and are always on the look out for opportunities to get their mix of pop-punk-prog-rock-metal out there for the world to hear.

The Members

Ayden | Vocals

Ayden has been crushing the dreams of small children since 1953, a job he claims to have taken up after being approached by "Graknarr the Hypoglycaemic" a less than healthy member of the "Galactic Confederacy" who claimed at the time to be the third cousin (twice removed) of the space overlord Xenu who had brought him to earth in a spaceship that looked very much like a Douglas DC-8 jet plain.

After a long and interesting discussion with the trolley pushing, sandal wearing, tin-foil hat adorned Hypoglycaemic; Ayden took the job as tormentor of children while travelling the country in search of work as a migrant farm labourer with his tall and mentally handicapped friend Lenny. Quickly tiring of Lenny's inability to do work with out the promise of rabbits, and his habit of killing any living thing he touches; Ayden sold Lenny to a circus and returned to focusing on finding the best way to ruin the ending of Harry Potter for children.

Then he was in a band Then he sang in an garage Than he playd wii tenniss and he ate cheese burgers coz he lyks them with tamatoe sorce and then he woke up and it was a dream.
